Hemodialysis (HD) is a vital treatment for patients with chronic kidney disease. Vascular access (VA) is essential to ensure the quality of HD and patient survival. VA dysfunction is frequent and significantly increases the risk of morbidity and mortality. Maintaining these accesses represents 25% of HD costs - approximately ~€300 per patient/month [1,2].
Pulse-HD is a personal device that detects microvibration patterns in the VA, using computational models to predict dysfunction. Our revenues include sales, subscriptions and partnerships with HD centers.
